Pandemic: Rising Tide
Kam recently acquired the new Pandemic game, Pandemic: Rising Tide, about saving the (19th-century?) Netherlands from sea-level rise using dikes and hydraulic pumping systems. (No diseases in this one!)
There are some issues with graphic design/layout of the board, but overall it’s a nice game; as with Pandemic: Iberia, it’s a good combination of familiar Pandemic gameplay with new mechanics.
(Apparently the idea of these local-setting Pandemic games is that Matt Leacock collaborates with game designers from the country that’s hosting the annual Pandemic tournament to create a Pandemic-like game set in their country.)
The accompanying photo shows the state of the board at the end of the first game we played. We won!
