More remixed trailers
I was having a frustrating evening, dealing with tech stuff. But yesterday, I posted a link to a trailer remixing Sound of Music as a horror movie, and this evening Naomi K mentioned the Mary Poppins-as-horror-movie trailer. So I went and looked that up, and then spent the next half-hour watching other remixed trailers, some of which turned out to be delightful. So here are the best ones I found. And thanks, Naomi, for the mood lift!
- The Sound of Music as a horror movie (2 min)
- Mary Poppins as a horror movie (1 min)
- The Dark Knight as a romantic comedy—a little muddled, but bonus points for fun concept. (2 min)
- Lord of the Rings Tide commercial—not a remixed trailer, but somewhere in the same general category. (1 min)
- The Shining: The Sitcom, in the style of Seinfeld. Kind of disturbing in places—I would like it better if they removed the actually horrific bits—but the ending sequence is particularly funny. (4 min)
- Stephen King's IT as a family film—I've never seen the original movie (and don't intend to), but this is very well done. (3 min)
- Slash to the Future: Back to the Future as a horror movie. (2 min)
- Pixar's The Terminator—switches to a different kind of joke halfway through, but still fun. (1 min)
- Silence of the Lambs as a comedy—pretty good. (2 min)
- And finally, Jaws as a Disney movie, which made me laugh a lot (though I haven't seen this original movie either). (2 min)
