“We’re now in orbit”

No, it's not a "Major Tom" flashback, it's a successful-so-far (knock on wood) NASA mission to Mars, at long last. The latest probe, Odyssey, has entered orbit around Mars. It's not over yet, though; now "the challenging task of refining the orbit to the desired science altitude begins." ("science altitude"???) Best line in the article:

"'[T]his isn't a trip to grandma's house,' Weiler said. 'We're going to another planet, which is a long, long journey.'"

Grandma, what green eyestalks you have!

Why am I not in bed yet? Must . . . go . . . sleep.
